Daniels (1905-1961, a New York newspaperman) in 1913 or 1914 when his father, Charles Cleaves Daniels (1864-1951), was a U.S. attorney appointed to protect the interests of the White Earth Chippewa; inherited by James Daniels' s wife Patricia Seaman Daniels (1920-2004); donated to NMAI by Patricia Seaman Daniels in 1993.
