Diary contains journal entries and several sketches regarding Henri's travels in Europe. It includes entries on his stay in Venice and Chioggia, Italy; his train ride from Venice to Etaples, France; and his boat ride from Etaples en route to Boulonge-sur-Mer. Henri comments on sketches by Italico Brass, visiting artists in Etaples including American painters Allen Tucker, Curtis Williamson, and George Henry Taggart, and British painter Joseph Milner Kite. <br>Sketches are mostly of people, but also include one of a bridge, one of a lamppost, and a few of boats. <br>Diary spans the dates August 29 through September 27, 1891.
