Scarf designed by Rockwell Kent for the Associated American Artists. <br>Motif in two shades of brown of whales and ships, similar to illustrations done by Kent for an edition of Herman Melville's <em>Moby Dick</em>. <br>Date is based on a letter from Kent describing these scarves dated 1947 Dec. 3 (cataloged as item 15323).
