Summary:
Fragments of two plays published as part of John Bell's series titled <em>British theatre</em>. <br>The plays are: <em>The Grecian daughter</em> by Arthur Murphy; and <em>Isabella, or The fatal marriage</em> by Thomas Southerne. <br>For each play the Archives has: the title page, the list of characters, and an engraved illustration of Sarah Siddons in the title role (Euphrasia and Isabella). Additionally, there is a page of the prologue to The Grecian daughter, and a page with the heading "Advertisement." <br>Verso of illustration of Mrs. Siddons as Isabella is stamped: De Forest Art Library.
