Summary:
Beatty, Director of Fine Arts at the Carnegie Museum, responds to Cassatt's Oct. 6th letter responding negatively to his request for a photograph of her portrait. " I appreciate your attitude in reference to the publication of your portrait. I think there is much to be said in favor of your point of view, but it is true that a large number of people are pleased and gratified to see the portraits of the men and women who produce the works of art they admire." <br> This image should be viewed with image 6064.
