Contains letters, greeting cards, postcards, and handwritten notes both to and from Floyd Levin, as well as communications between jazz artists that Levin collected. The majority of the materials consist of personal letters written to Levin by jazz artists and organizations regarding upcoming festivals and performances, research inquiries from other jazz historians and collectors, including Duncan P. Schiedt, as well as general personal correspondence between the Levins and jazz artists and friends. Also found among the materials are letters relating to personal matters. The materials are arranged in chronological order.
