According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, a patent is an exclusive right granted by a government to an inventor to manufacture, use, or sell an invention for a certain number of years. This series consists of patents issued to inventors associated with or with rights assigned to the Curtiss-Wright Corporation and related organizations. The series is divided into two subseries: United States Patents, 1911-1939, and International Patents, 1916-1935.
