Lippe contributed descriptions of individual paintings for The Catalogue of the Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting in the Collection of John M. Crawford Jr published in 1962. Lawrence Sickman served as editor. Materials include notes on paintings, drafts of Lippe's contributions on individual paintings, and correspondence with colleagues Laurence Sickman, James Cahill and Wang Fang Yu as well as with John M Crawford Jr.
