Scope and Contents:
The collection contains copies of several of Pope's published articles, but most of the items are manuscripts or drafts, some incomplete. It is divided into two subseries. Subseries 3.1 contains articles, lectures and manuscripts, including notes, slide lists and related items for his many lectures. Also among the manuscripts are comments on individual items submitted by collectors for evaluation. Subseries 3.2 consists of research materials and publication correspondence for his best-known work, Chinese Porcelains from the Ardebil Shrine.
