Scope and Contents:
Pope corresponded with a wide circle of ceramics specialists, museum directors, dealers and others. Most of the correspondence consists of letters to Pope; very few of his responses are included. The collection includes numerous letters from several well-known collectors and specialists, including John M. Addis, Frances Cleaves, Warren Cox, Sir. Percival David, Jean-Pierre Dubosc, Dean Frasche, Harry Garner, L. Carrington Goodrich, Basil Gray, Tom Harrisson, Igaki Haruo, Soame Jenyns, James Kirkman, Koyama Fujio, James Marshall, Mayuyama Junkichi, Gerald Reitlinger, Laurence Sickman, Hammo Sassoon, Langdon Warner and Billy Winkworth.
