Scope and Contents:
"Among the noncarved masks, it is important to mention the great enlivener of village celebrations who is much loved in the Dan lands: the stilt-dancer mask or long mask called Ge Gblin." [Verger-Fevre M.N., 1993: Art of Côte d'Ivoire, Barbier -Mueller Museum]. This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon was on assignment for Westinghouse Film and traveled to Africa from October 26, 1970 to end of March 1971.
