United States of America -- New Jersey -- Mercer County -- Princeton
Date:
1963-1978
General:
This is one of two gardens in Princeton with the name Webster for which no further identification is known. In 1963 Lois Poinier designed a replanting for the front of this house. The small porch was better defined, while yews and other evergreens in that area were removed. Boxwood, an Ilex x meserveae 'Blue Girl' at the corner of the garage, and other plantings were added. Images show the site before design and planting and in the autumn of 1978.
Persons associated with the garden include Lois W. Poinier (garden designer) and the Webster family (former owners).
