The council formed several committees including the Advisory Committee for Artists, Curatorial Restructuring Committee, Executive Committee, Governing, and Membership Committee. The files contain meeting minutes, and correspondence discussing by-laws, fees, and other committee activities.

Use of original papers requires an appointment and is limited to the Washington, D.C. Research Center. Use of born-digital records with no duplicate copies requires advance notice.
