Scope and Contents:
Charles Rand Penney's art collection files are extensive and detailed. They contain printed materials, correspondence, photographic material, and notes about artists, artworks, books, films, galleries, museums, and other projects related to his interests and building his collection of artwork. Files for Toronto 20, a portfolio of lithographs by 20 artists living and working in Toronto, Canada in 1965, include records for 18 of the artists involved in the project along with documents pertaining to Penney's purchase of the Toronto 20 portfolio. Also found within the series is a file containing materials related to exhibitions of Penney's art collection.
