Exhibition files include flyers and brochures, biographical materials, news clippings, correspondence, and sample photographs, slides and negatives. They may also include information on exhibition layouts, lists of photographs to be included, and wall text. Among photographers exhibited were Ansel Adams, Wynn Bullock, Imogen Cunningham, Judy Dater, Aaron Siskind, Jerry Uelsmann, and Brett Weston. The file on Willard Worden (1868-1946) contains photocopies of his military service records dating from 1898 to 1946.

Series 1 is arranged in two subseries, Subseries 3.1: Solo Exhibition files and Subseries 3.2: Group Exhibition files
