This accession consists of records that document the work of the Under Secretary, Constance Berry Newman, during the calendar years 1991 through 1995. The records pertain
to the activities of various museums, bureaus and other major offices within the Smithsonian Institution and other outside organizations.
There are correspondence and reports concerning such issues as Japan Project, Latino Task Force, Latino Working Committee, Americas Endeavors, Asian American Project, Asian
American Indexing Project, Secretary I. Michael Heyman's file memo concerning his conversation with Nancy Sinatra Lambert about the potential for Frank Sinatra's gift to the
