This accession consists of the papers of Warren M. Robbins, founder and director emeritus of the Museum of African Art, later the National Museum of African Art. These papers document Robbins' work with museums, lectures, grant proposals, art acquisitions, exhibitions, publications, the Center for Cross-Cultural Communication, fund raising, his family, and other related materials. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, grant proposals, images, brochures, newsletters, presentations, diplomas, and clippings.
