This accession consists of correspondence of curators in the Department of Invertebrate Zoology and its predecessors, the Department of Biology, the Department of Zoology,
and the Division of Marine Invertebrates. The majority of this collection is from Mildred S. Wilson, Assistant Curator, 1944-1946, and Research Associate, 1946-1973. In 1948
Wilson moved to Alaska to become a consultant in biology to the Arctic Health Research Center. Most of her correspondence occurs during her time in Alaska. Some of Wilson's
correspondence pre-dates her employment with the Department of Biology. Also included is a small amount of correspondence from curators Fenner Albert Chace and Waldo L. Schmitt.
