This accession consists of the papers of Robert P. Multauf, historian of science and former curator of chemistry and director of the National Museum of History and
Technology. These materials consist of correspondence, both professional and personal, including correspondence with the History of Science Society and the Society for History
of Technology; research notebooks; manuscripts of published and unpublished works, including work on the growth of technology and the origins of European firearms; research
notes; and personal materials, including materials from junior high and high school, military records, teaching appointments; and traveling materials from trips to Japan and
