Exhibition documents dated from 1970 to 1989 that were collected by the National Museum of African Art, Smithsonian Institution, to support the research of the museum's curators. There are files for the following exhibitions: African Ssculptor, African Islam, Igbo Arts, Bamama Figurative Studies, Tabwa Art, African Art in the Cycle of Life, Show Design, Images from Bamum, Echoes of the Kalahari, Kalahari Ancestral Screens, Gold of Africa and Icons.

Biographical / Historical:
The National Museum of African Art is a Smithsonian Institution museum located in Washington, D.C. It was founded in 1964 by Warren Robbins, but did not join the Smithsonian until 1979.
